Information about Web Creation

Our web designs are designed to inform people of your business and/or ministry in a quality, efficient manner. We strive to provide web designs that meet or exceed your expectations while keeping your costs low. The web has grown significantly over the years as has the ability to access it. The one thing that is still a factor is that everyone has different monitors, computers, and connections. There is no 100% sure way to make a web site look perfect for everyone, however, there are ways to make it easy to use, eye-friendly, and informative.

We custom design our web sites with these limitations in mind. While rarely will you see a lot of high end, large bandwidth flash and graphics they are available. Depending on what your ministry or business is and how your web viewers will access your site we will try to accommodate everyone. If your viewers will print the majority of your information we will cater to that arena, if you need high-end multimedia capabilities that is possible as well. You tell us what you want and we will do our best to deliver it for you.

In addition to building your great new custom web site we will also work with you to get your web site listed on any free search engines that are available. The use of META tags will be implemented to ensure a wide range of ways to find your site.

Cost*

There are many different web plans available for you to choose from. We will provide an exact quote based on your plans and needs upon receipt of the planning worksheets (below). Our standard pricing is below:

Regular Hourly Rate	$35.00 (1-hour minimum on most work)
Additional 1,000 words of text (above 1,200)	$15.00
Photo scanning (8”x10” or smaller)	$0.50 per photo
Photo scanning (larger than 8”x10”)	$1.00 per photo
Additional web pages (above agreed number of pages)	$20.00 per page
Additional photos on a web page (above average 1.3 photos per page)	$2.00 per photo
Custom Graphic Work	$35.00 per hour
Additional consultation and training (above 2-hours for standard web package and additional 2-hours for online store)	$35.00 with one hour minimum
Work on site after it is advertised	$25.00 per hour (1-hour minimum)
Repair of site if damaged by third-party	$35.00 per hour (1-hour minimum)
Substantial changes during 6-month maintenance period	$25.00 per hour (1-hour min)
Site reinstatement (if site is not updated within 6-months from completion of site)	$100.00
Late fee	$15.00 (5% for each additional month delinquent – site taken down when 30 days delinquent)
eCommerce Store Design	$350.00

Basic web design begins at $350.00. This would include a site with 10 pages or less that you provide the graphics and text for. The price goes up from there depending on your needs, what you provide, and estimated time for completion (approximately $35.00 per hour).

If, however, you are a small ministry, do not let these prices discourage you. Please contact us and we will see if there is some way we can help your ministry out.

*Texas Sales tax will be applied where applicable. If you are a non-profit organization your tax-exempt status can be accepted with appropriate paperwork.

Forms

We have created forms to assist you in gathering information for your website. Each client will be asked to complete these forms and send them in to us BEFORE a quote can be given on the exact cost for the design of your site.

To enable our clients to be aware of exactly what responsibilities we have as your web designer and / or hosting company as well as to clarify what responsibility the client has we have spelled this out in our contracts. These contracts will be completed after the negotiation for the site is completed and a signed copy must be presented to TLW Web Design before any work will begin. We are listing them here for you to look over prior to doing business with us if you wish.
